    Unhappy Sad Big Rock!

It is not looking good for the 50th Anniversary of the Big Rock tourney. Looks like fuel has definitely put a serious dent in the participation levels.

As of today there are only 29 boats registered to fish

I sure hope there are a bunch of late comers or this will be the smallest Big Rock ever. Shame its on the big celebration year.

This is very typical. A lot of people wait until Saturday to register. Look at the number by Monday and it will be the normal amount of boats.

How many boats are normaly registered at this time last year?

We never see a lot of pre-regestiered boats due to weather and other normal odds that are out there.

People who can afford the boat, and paid to fish tourny's in yrs past can afford the rise in fuel prices. I'm so tired of hearing so and so isn't fishing because of fuel prices, thats bullshit, an excuse in advance for being a loser thats all. If so and so was that worried about fuel, they wouldn't of bought a 56ft rig that burns 500+ gallons a day. I predict that with the way the fishing has been, there will be a minimum of 160 boats entered by sat. night.

pretty sure most will enter fri and sat. usually between 160-180 most years. should be pretty good this year since it is the 50th annual and the blue marlin bite has been hot.

I sure hope thats the case. I seem to remember there being a lot more pre-registered in the last few years but I could be mistaken.

    MY PREDICTION

THERE WILL BE 160-185 BOATS IN THE BIG SHOW....MAYBE JUST A FEW OFF THE NORM

29 ?.....I'D SAY THAT IS A LOT. HECK I NEVER PRE-REGISTERED. ALWAYS WAITED TIL SUNDAY BEOFRE LINES IN TO GIVE UP THE MONEY...

THERE IS NO SHORTAGE OF MONEY IN THE OFFSHORE WORLD.....NONE

JARRETT BAY IS ROCKING....PLYWOOD SALES ARE UP AT THE LARGEST MANUFACTURING PLANT IN THE USA....NEW CAR DEALERSHIPS ARE SPRING UP EVERYWHERE

THERE WAS PLENTY OF BOATS OFFSHORE THIS PAST WEEKEND...SHOPPING MALL PARKING LOTS ARE CRAMMED FULL EVERY DAY FROM WHAT I SEE.....THE FREAKING I-95 HIWAY IS STILL BUMPER TO BUMPER....RESTARAUNTS HAVE LINES OUT THE DOOR....NEW BIZNESSES ARE POPPING UP IN CARTERET COUNTY LIKE DAY LILLIES.

HATTERAS TOURNY HAS A RECORD NUMBER OF BOATS IN IT.......

DON'T LET OBAMALAMA, HILLARY AND CNN KEEP FOOLIN YOU ALL

OF COURSE.......I AM BROKE....BUT WHAT'S NEW ABOUT THAT?

Judging by what/who I saw at the weighin for the Swannsboro tournament I think there will be a lot of folks entering.

An awful lot of captains and crews were hanging around - Not all locals either.

    Just wait and see...
