RUN OFF report Monday April 13th

So, you read my Sunday report, well Monday I went looking for "greener grass". The Sat. shot looked favorable for a new piece of water shoving in towards the break down south mid to low 300's. 190 degrees was the course today, 22 knts 60 miles. On board we had a great group of guys from here on the board.....I will not mention any names in fear of being "sniped" We arrive on the 340 line 35 fathoms and set the spread, unfortunately the water there too, was the murky green blend, 69 degrees, the shot showed the hot water push just over the 100 fathom line down there so SE we went, trolled out to 137 fathoms, and there it was........green to blue change, grass, wood, rope....flyers.......slicks......birds......STRIKE-LESS.....WTF I said over and over to myself..........BOX kept the crowd entertained while I fought a mental battle in my head, again WTF.???? Trolled 9 miles cold and hot side of change, 9 rod spread, two teasers........no bites......I fished back in to the break about the 470 line, fished from there up to the 520 line 30-60 fathoms..........STRIKE-LESS......oh boy!?!?!?!? Knowing that our group brought an arsenal of jigging rods and jigs with them, I told BOX to crank the sh-t up.....we are making a move. Ran full cruise, into the sea to arrive back to the jack hole I was at Sunday. LET THE BATTLE BEGIN.....four guys dropped.......four guys on. Again......four guys drop.......four guys on......Again and again and again and again. In approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, they caught 37 jacks (Amber and Almaco), two albacore and a king, all on the jig.

We picked up to run towards the hill as the sky darkened and the rain began. We ended up making the day, 3/4 of the way pleasing the party, ..........and spending another day doing what we love to do. Thank you guys for fishing with us, and thank you all for letting me share. Good luck on your next fishing trip.....remember, giving up is NOT an option. Capt. B. RUN OFF SPORTFISHING

    Thanks for the report.

I looked at the weather Sun and decided we needed to give it a shot Mon as well, you all passed us in the no-wake zone by the port. I tried to call, but didn't know what ch you where on.

We worked 30-70 fathoms from the 550 -700 line without a sniff, never did see any real good water changes.

Like we always do we worked in jigging and caught AJ's and other bottom fish, it ended up being a goo day on the water. I'm dieing for some good trolling action soon.

I had a great time trolling...eyes glued to the water in anticipation, palms sweating, knees slightly bent awaiting the attack...

Then there were the AJs, POWER LIFTING reef brawlers they were...after catching so many they can almost scare a man away from making another drop...

    Thanks for a great time

Never even seen you come close to giving up Capt B. Way to make a day out of it. Plan B is not a bad option. Congratulations to you, Box, and the rest of the crew.
