The day started off with a 5am departure with some choppy seas but not to bad. We put lines in around 7:20 and had a hit on the famed sniper rig but did not come tight thats the way it goes. About 7:45 the right short popped off and the King fisherman came out in me I grabbed the rod out of the holder (after box told me to reel it tight first) and realized I had messed up!! Then trying to get out of my mess he was gone Leave it to me!! Sorry Box!! We then had a shark bite on the long rigger. (you never loose a trash fish) Around 11:30 as the Beast had perdicted we had the the sniper went off again and a rookie on the reel. Well slack lines and wahoo do not go hand in hand the hoo was gone. With another hit on the long left we were in the fish. While Box was working him to the gaff the hook pulled on a nice fish of 35-40lbs. Then the long top line was hit but never came tight . The sniper was hit and a nice 35-40 was in the box on ice! After a few choice words the sniper was on again with me on the rod and in a few minutes a 60+ ws cooling on ice! It then cooled off and we did manage a AJ and a King before it was time to call it a day. All in all had a wonderful day on the water with Brian and Marty. I have never witnessed 2 people work the spread and chang up the look so much trying to get bites in my life they are the best I have ever seen. Glad to have ben able to go and hope we did cause Marty to much grief. Will post some pics when I get them up loaded.
Thanks for a memorable trip.
