Let's all learn from our mistakes. There were at least three 3 screw ups I made in wiring this fish.
First, the wind on leader was at least 36 feet long, I should have never touched the leader until it reached the reel. I know, we all think that once the leader is in reach it is proper to grab the leader. I am convinved that the main line would not have broke had I not put additional back pressure on the main line.

Second, notice I got the leader caught in my watch twice--- take the dang jewelry off knuckle head--

Third, I should have been more careful to ensure the free end of the leader fell to the deck behind me neatly, notice the glob of shit at the end of the job bunched up in the corner with me.
