ROFFER'S: A VALUABLE LESSON THIS THURSDAY

ROFFER'S HAS BEEN ONBOARD WITH ME AND THE CREWS I HAVE WORKED FOR IN DA PAST FOR OVER 20 YEARS NOW

THIS SEMINAR IS FREE....I SAID FREE....AND I HOPE LIKE HECK I CAN MAKE IT....THERE ARE NO TUNAS TO KEEP ME HERE IN MHC SO WILMINGTON I MAY BE COMING TO HEAR MITCH TEACH A THING OR TWO...

"READING THE WATER AND INTERPRETING SAT SHOTS"....PROBABLY THE MOST SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT ARENA OF OFFSHORE FISHING!

ROFFS Seminar January 14, 2010 at West Marine in Wilmingto Mitch Roffer of Roffer's Ocean Fishing Forecasting Service, Inc. will be at West Marine in Wilmington, North Carolina on Thursday January 14, 2010 for a seminar.

Mitch plans on presenting a fisheries oceanographic talk entitled "The effects of the ocean environment, including eddies on the catchability of tuna, marlin, sharks and mahi." This will be a scientific talk, not a ROFFS infomercial and will include background information on how and why fish search for their preferred waters.

Other aspects of the seminar will consider the affect the daily movements and changes in availability and vulnerability, as well as, what strategies and tactics anglers can use to increase their catch rates in relation to these factors. He will provide a critical review of some of the techniques that are being used to search for productive fishing areas with satellites and other oceanographic data and models.

Of course, he will also answer any questions and explanations about ROFFS in general, and our fishing analyses. A ROFFS Gift Certificate for a free ROFFS Offshore Fishing Analysis will be given to everyone that attends.

The seminar will be at 7:00 p.m. at West Marine, 1930 Eastwood Road, Suite 102, Wilmington, North Carolina 28403. The West Marine store will be closed for business at 6:00 p.m. but will be open for the seminar. There is no fee for the West Marine Seminar.

Hey Marty hope you gettem tommorow, dad is heading to ocean ilse to fish with the Adam and Eve crowd on friday.Maybe he will take the camera out of the case and get some pics.I think their target is wahoos, but I bet he will send some bait to the bottom sometime during the day.I saw him loading the push button reels in the truck.I said ''I thought yall were going wahoo fishing''.He gave me a chit eating grin and said ''get that bucket of weights out of the shop and put them in the truck, plan B son''.Wahoo.bass and triggers.Sounds good to me.

I purchase a Roffs package every year and it is always worth the price I save in fuel even when fun fishing. I did speak with them today and they said if anyone wants to video record the session and bring it back to Sportfisherman.com Dr. Mitch Roffer said it would be fine. I unfortunately can not make the 2.5 hr drive because I have the President and Board of Directors in town but hopefully someone will be able to record and bring it back to SF.com. They seemed very excited when I told them about SF.com and I invited them to join and they sound like they were very interested. If anyone does go please share info. Thanks Scott
