RIGGING VIDEO: New Knot To Connect Mono To Power Pro

This is my first attempt at a rigging video so please be mindful on the criticism.

Anyway, this video is of a knot that was shown to be by Patrick Sebile--designer of all the lures produced by the Sebile lure company. He saw some Japanese guys tying a version of it and came up with this knot using the basic principles from the one they were tying.

This "Sebile Knot" as I'm calling it, joins mono and Power Pro (or some other type of "regular" braid) in a matter that produces a knot as small, or smaller, than a chinese handcuff does with hollow core. There is no burr or actual knot to hang in your guides as it flows through. It's a really cool knot and one that is very easy to tie as well. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Tight Lines!
Bryan

Can't wait to try it

something new is always welcome

Great job on the vid

I always have a tough time following knot vids due to backgrounds that are to similar and to light to the line's color

Thanks Squid and Patrick

Lee, you can use this knot on anything. We were tying 20 lb. Power Pro to 150 lb. fluorocarbon at a tackle show the other weekend for demonstrations, but you can tie as small of mono as you want to it. With small diameter mono (like what you'd use for topshot on your spinning rods) it'll fly through your guides without hanging up or slapping against them like a double uni does.

One other really cool thing about this knot is that you can tie your Power Pro to WIRE in the exact same manner. No more bending the wire over to make an Albright knot. Just lay it the same way as the mono and it'll hold. Don't believe me? Try it! (I didn't believe it either until I saw it!)

If anyone local (Wilmington, NC) tries it and for some reason can't get it to work, let me know and I'll show you in person.
