I can only run 4 for the moment...

I got two bars(and the squids should be smaller imo)on the flats and a daisy chain on the starboard rigger and a small bird/bubbler on the port. Trying again tomorrow at 5:30am. Give me some pointers...

Mike

If the bars are on the flatlines, they'll dig in. Get em up high on the riggers imho. Save the flat lines to run plugs short or a deep diver under the spread. Heck, try everyway you can think of.

Those 5 chain bars are better for our cold water bfts pulled slow (4-5 kts). They don't pull well any faster. Too much drag. A lot of guys run floats inside the squid shells (myself included). It might help reduce some drag and give Carom time to pull in ALL those lines before they sink. Just kidding Mike

We'll also run marlin lures down the middle in front of the bird(s) and fill in the middle. But, we'll run as many as 15 rod spreads.

There are certainly A LOT guys here with more expertise than myself. Standing by for a lesson.
