BRING ON THE PAIN.
I have to tell this on my 1st Big drum trip with Brian. I had NEVER caught a red drum over 12 lbs maybe. Well my 1st trip with Brian I was by myself, we started out found some bait quick, then we start to the Pamlico/Neuse. Well after about 1 hour the first one hits and let me explain he is usingprobablly 6000 series spinners, with braid and a lot of drag. Well it looked and felt like he had hooked a submarine, I mean rod bent over so much you could barely get it out of the rod holder. this drum buried his head and shoulders and whooped me lol finally we get it to the boat and released it. Well we constantly checked baits, swaped out old baits with new and moved around. I believe we ended up catch 15-20 that day and that was slow by his standards but understand the 1st one was GREAT for me. Well he was determined to get me a 50lber everything to that point was 30-40lb range. Now remember I was by myself. LOL Later in the darkness of night I finally said Capt hell I was happy after the 1st one, now I am worn out hahaha, the man is non stop and so passionate about what he does. He reminds me of a saying, "Find a job you love and you never work another day in your life" That is Capt Brian.
