COMPLETE AND UTTER BS IS WHAT IT IS...
Do it like the mako mani and mako fever.. you got 2 fishing days.. pick one and pay for one or you got to pay 2 entry fees and calcuttas for both days..
They should work it that way if anything.
Just because it is a big money game marty doesnt mean anything.. It does not mean that guys who save up for the year should not get a shot.. THEY PAID THE MONEY.. ALL OF IT...
I call BULLSHIT.....whether you got the coin or not. The rules are the rules. If it was discusssed prior or during the captains meeting then maybe so. If it was not then it sounds like its catering to the deep pockets since a small fish stands to take the prize.
Whining and crying, I call it changing the rules during the game. If a CLOWN was sitting on the top MILLION DOLLAR FISH and a late buy in came and bumped his fish I bet a certain HAHA would be whistling a different tune.BOO HOO
I run a tournament too and know what the response would be if we changed the rules during the show.
You buy back in, you win the coin of the others that bought back in, but not the main purse. Thats the way it should be.
God I love it...Vinnie's Back!!!! Let the Real Tournament begin...
What about the fact that some guys took a lay day early in the week for this very reason... to have a last minute shot with fewer boats out fishing. So now this guy, even if he has deep pockets, can't recoup that lay day now matter how much he throws down because this rule interpretation was made on day 4. Well, actually maybe the tournament will cut him some slack and let him fish sunday if he poinies up enough dough.
As has been said by many, not faulting the guys buying back in but shame on those torunament directors. Now if one of those buy in guys wins it is going to be nothing but headaches for them anyways and the lawyers are going to walk away with all the money anyways. I am sure some will be sitting at the dock licking their chops at the opportunity to pick up this case That alone would have made me think twice about re-enterring.
But good luck to all on the final days.
I see no problem at all with this.
You have always been able to enter the BR at any point during the week. What's the difference if they reentered the same boat or jumped on another boat & entered for the last two days.
Good luck to the guys putting the money out there & I hope they win it all.
Lighting struck. Maggie, one of the boats to "re enter" just boated a blue marlin. Let the game begin.
Like most things in life, money usually wins.
