FYI,
Just got off the phone with a guy from your area who just got back from fishing down in Panama with the Panama Big Game Club, he called because they where fishing with the new Yo-Zuri Surface Bull GT's and caught a ton of fish with the largest a 200LB Yellowfin on the popper with a spinning rod/reel....ha ha, he said it took 2 hours but he landed it, he was pumped.

But the part I thought was interesting was that they caught all their billfish (Bues,Stripes and huge Pacific Sails) on Bally's skirted with
Blue and White Witches and Ilsanders....over the nose... All Blue and White and all deadly down there.

Combo is deadly in all waters it seems,

a 12 foot wind on 80# leader to a snapswivel then a 1 to 3 oz drail,,depends on conditions,, then a two foot length to ballyhoo~~~~point rod at watwer while you thumb the zspool~~~werks wit j or circles

feed line then set hook as normal

this tech has won a couple tournaments by adding points of 1 or two extra feesh

the bait is typically 2 feet submerged~~~thus the need.to thumb the spool.
