Reel Return NR Inlet Surprise and Report

Nothing like a good weather report makes you want to load the boat and go fishing. Met my friend Tanner Gray to go on the hunt for a few red grouper and explore some new territory. Our first stop was at some numbers that had produced some good reds earlier in the year, but this trip the fish had locktite on the jaws. After a few moments of disappointment we decided to go on the hunt. Our next stop looked promising so we dropped anchor and I was quickly rewarded with this nice American Red.



After a few keeper pink snapper we decided to keep moving. Our next stop was some numbers from a map of live bottom sites and the area looked as flat as Kansas. Tanner made me drift over the area and I soon pulled in a nice red grouper, he soon followed with 2 more reds



The rest of the day we bounced from one spot to another trying to get my book of numbers more complete. We did manage a few more keeper pink snapper. A day that started with ice on the deck sure turned into a fun day of chasing numbers.
