Red Snapper off Jax Florida.

While I dont normally post reports from fishing trips I am not on... this one impressed me so much I thought I would give a quick post. My buddy Mike (the captain I usually fish with) went out thursday the 18th and was trying to locate that mass of SeaBass we hit 2 weeks ago. Said they went over the number and nada.... did a quick search just off the number to see if they were suspended elsewhere, and started marking a huge plume. Said it was a pyramid 15 feet tall from the bottom.

Down goes 4 rods. All four double up immediately. The spend 30 mins in an all out bite. Caught over 20 snapper. 8 made the ride home. Two 18 pounders, a 17 pounder, 14 pounder, and the rest were between 12 and 8 pounds. Said two busted off at the boat pushing 30 pounds.

They diliberately left the school biting so they could go back out yesterday (Friday) No word yet if they were still there. Just thought I would post. As soon as I get pics, I will put them up. I am going next break in the Wx we get. Going to try out a new rod I put together. 30 pound test for giant red snapper.

Breaking off 30 lb snappers at the boat would surely make a grown man cry.

Hey, I am with yall.... as soon as I get the pics, they will go up. You know how bad it sux to get banging fishing reports when your working!!!

I am going pig hunting on Monday though. Going with Marty (Apex Predator) so that helps with the sting. Bows and Handguns for Bacon!

For fishing.... just looking for a good calm day to get the 24 hour flu on!
