    RED, GREEN, YELLOW & BLACK

THOSE ARE THE COLORS THAT SO VIVIDLY LIT UP OUR NEW GARMIN XM WEATHER MACHINE....FOR OVER AN HOUR WE WATCHED AS THE ***** FORMED UP....YESIRREEE....ONE BIG BLOB OF EL NASTY FURY HOVERING OVER THE OL' KILLING FIELD...

WHAT WE HAVE HERE A STIFF 15 SW BLOW @ DOCKSIDE... AND THEY ARE CALLING FOR A SOLID 20 AT 100 FATHOMS.....SO ....FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE LAST YEAR....I SEALED OFF MY BAITBOX WITH A SHEET OF INSULATED HEAT-REFELCTIVE PACKING MATERIAL IN ORDER TO SALVAGE TODAY'S RIGGED BAITS FOR TOMORROWS ATTEMPT TO FISH....THIS MATERIAL IS USED IN SHIPPING THE GIANTS TO JAPAN. IT WORKS VERY WELL KEEPING THE HOT OUT & DA COLD IN.

WE HATE TO CANCEL A TRIP BUT SADLY WE SENT WESCO AND FAMILY BACK HOME THIS MORNING FOR OUR FIRST CANCELED TRIP OF THE SEASON AND RE-BOOKED WESLEY FOR SUNDAY TWO WEEKS FROM NOW.

RODS WERE RE-STOWED ......I FELT LIKE I WAS PUNISHING THEM BY DOING SO....I NOTICED ONE OF THE TYRNOS 30'S WAS TEARING UP IN ONE EYE...."BE PATIENT LITTLE ONE" BE PATIENT.........TOMORROW WE WILL GO GET 'EM!

AS I DEPARTED THE RUN-OFF TO NOW SPEND THE DAY WITH THE PONEYTAIL ....A RARE SATURDAY NONETHELESS...I COULDN'T HELP BUT NOTICE THE TWO WATERFRONT HEADBOATS WITH DECK LIGHTS GLOWING BRIGHTLY....SEVERAL CUSTOMERS WERE MILLING ABOUT THE DECKS....ALL SMILES WITH ANTICIPATION OF A FULL COOLER OF MEAT.....SOME WITH EAGER RODS ALREADY WEIGHTED UP & READY FOR THE FIRST DROP STANDING TALL IN THE SAFETY RAIL ROD HOLDERS.......

    HMMMMMMMMMM.....

    SOUTHWEST....& 20....................................................

    LIGHTNING...RAIN....THUNDER....LOTS OF IT

"HANG ON BOYS.....THAT'S ALL I GOT TO SAY!!!!

JUST HANG ON......I SURE HOPE THE SOUTHWEST PUCKER FACTOR DOESN'T RUB YOU RAW!!!"

Got to love the XM weather. We use ours all the time and have worked around a few boomers in the past. When you see the brownish red and purple then you know you are in deep crap that's the really nasty stuff. At least at that time you will see a directional fan pointed in the direction it is headed. XM is the first thing we fire up to get the Bouy and offshore forecast info before we start....Mark

Only thing worse than a stiff SW breeze is a Nor'easter. If I were on a head boat today, I would definitely pick a spot on the bow seeing how the boat will always be bow to the wind. There will be more than sea water spraying the folks on the rail downwind.
    Good luck to them today.

    Marty,

The lady at the "Princess" gave us a sales pitch on the way back to the car this morning and my crowd politely declined her invitation. Gonna be a nasty trip anchored all day. Anyways never saw the two street walking girls on the way out of town. Must have finally got that ride they were looking. See ya in two weeks.

    Wesley
