Our junior angler had never seen a sneaker head before (ramora) and I had to explain what they do and why they are called that. He didn't believe me so I stuck him to the side of the console. He didn't stick long-several seconds (I guess they do better in the water) but it was plenty long enough to prove I wasn't joking. They are really cool looking fish. We had started to run low on herring when we caught him so I had started making double rigs with small 6" mullet and that's what caught his eye. We boated him and released him completely unharmed.
I have heard that some of the florida guys will play a practical joke on fellow fishermen by sticking them to a buddy's back. Can anyone tell me if there is any truth to that? If so, does it leave a major Reebok looking hickey on the vicitm's back?
