Panama is sick and the weather is better...

Everything is going well with the property so far and we are getting some stuff done even.

Went fishing yesterday afternoon for a quick hour and a half session throwing poppers inshore, I farmed a cubera, a sierra mackeral, and got short hopped by a pair of nice roosters. Chad and Chicho managed a nice horse eye jack, and a big sierra Mackarel....I sucked but it did not matter as the view and company was perfect and there was no one around for miles!!!

Heres a nice shot from our property just an hour ago!!!

dont you miss this country? i watch guy's like you go every where and i gotta tell you...... i really dont envy it. i know its beautiful and quiet, simple and easy. but before everyone chimes in with AWESOME! isnt it a little lonely? not trying to be an ass, just need more in life to thrive. no? if that's it, good for you. not trying to be a jerk but its soooooooo far from home. i could not do it. as i've gotten older, my feet grow roots! good luck! only when your young can you do it.

I can't speak for Squirtis -- Gringo and I moved to the Turks & Caicos two and a half years ago. I have been visiting here for about 15 years prior and Gringo about 5.

We are not lonely here. All of our family and friends now have a great place to come and visit. Everyone who visits us is on vacation so they are ready to have fun and live it up and we get to see their best sides!

It's not far away either. It's an hour and 20 minute flight to Miami or a 3 hour non stop flight to JFK. You can easily fly that distance and still be in the US.

There are certain conveniences that you give up but the tradeoff, to us, is worth it. It's beautiful here. The native people are some of the best around and we have many that are friends. We get to do things we love as a way of life instead of crammed into a two week vacation. We are not bored because we love to boat, fish, dive, snorkel, explore uninhabited cays and so much more. But these are things WE like to do. Again, it's not for everyone.

I mean where else can you pull up to the pumps at the gas station and without getting out of your car also buy a cold, OPEN beer for your ride??? I don't drink beer. But there's just something so appealing to me about a country that lives life that way.

At least you don't have to worry about Hubris moving in next door.

Not to mention the killer fishing, smoking waves, and very few crowds. The hell with modern conveniences...I could live in a box down there if I got to see all the point breaks and fish. Best of luck to you amigo! Great pic. Keep us posted.
