for all you guys,,, remembered an old trick the other day to make the downrigger more comfortable(used to use it on bandit reels),, take a couple pairs of old tube socks and cut off the open end. Take the elastic end and stretch over your drigger knob. The more the better. Always nice to grab that knob when you don't have gloves on and have no trouble backing it off to trip the planer....Good Luck
