Do not be mistaken anyone, this is not about the endangered plover or beach erosion. Those are merely the tools used by the Damn carpet baggers that have moved to HI and Ocracoke to get away from it all on thier vacations and retirement.

Now the real ass kicker is that once they get rid of us NC Natives with the very sight of our unshaven faces and pork and beans on the beach diet, they want the full compliment of government services as if they lived in Manhattan.

I hope the carpet baggers enjoy their pristine views of the beach I have fished on since I was barely able to walk. As for me...I would love to participate in an organized display of civil disobedience. 1000 plus SUV's coming over the ramp and heading straight to Cape Point. Let them drag me off.

I'm in! we'll have fried plover and do donuts in the sand.. I think we should trailer our boats in the dark with no tags and leave them at the entrance to every ramp before we go out on the beach

I understand that you are kidding, but to make things clear, I am a responsile beach steward. I will not and have not done donuts in the sand. I always drive less than 15 mph on the beach and and pick up litter when I see it. I don't want to hurt the plover, we can coexist.

Take away my god given and legislated right to enjoy the Cape Hatteras Recreational National Seashore.....and they can kiss my ass.

Your right I am kidding, but damn mad. Its such a shame that lobbyist and environmentalist seem to run this country... those who holler loudest seem to be heard while the silent majority just sit and let it happen!

Amen. FYI everyone is going to the court house in Raleigh this Friday at 2:00 PM dressed in our Sunday Best to attend the hearing. No signs, no protests, just showing up in numbers with total respect.

This will greatly affect the charter businesses as well. MANY who come to charter spend the remainder of their time surf fishing. Here is the article from yesterday's News and Disturber:

I realize it may be a little early still but if anyone knows what happened in court today could you clue us in?

    no word yet

I did not make it to the hearing today but am monitoring the radio closely. Will post if/when I hear something. There was word that Basnight Nugent was here yesterday trying to get a compromise from complainant.
