    Thanks Tenacious...

I am honestly just trying to get a good thread going here......I have learned so much from the guys who started this stuff, I thought it would be pretty intersting!,,,,You have to realize that the species you want me to pick a lure for varies...give me a more specific question...hopefully then I can help

I know you can catch anything on a naked bally, but if you had to choose one lure to pull for the intended specie what would they be.

    Marlin... blue and white islander
    mahi...nake w/seawhich
    wahoo...pink stretch30
    YFT...rasta squid chain
    BFT...medium naked ballyhoo

Two lures I will use if not trolling with ballyho is the cedar plug and a drone spoon. Both will put fish in the box.

Marlin- moldcraft anything in any color

Mahi- I'd have to say a green machine

Wahoo- black and red stretch 25-30

Yellerfins- RASTA BAR or an ahi pussy

Bluefin- black and purple Black Bart tuna XXX

Nothing beats a ballyhoo/Ilander or a naked ballyhoo and I wouldn't leave the dock without them.

Derek - A lot of guys love the single hook stiff rig....I've had great hook up ratios on these, but've always had issues w/ the hook swimming itself off..(+/- 3 rigs per 60 day season)....noticed the same isue w/ locking down (heat shrinking) the 2nd hook on a double hook rig....We fished a similar rig to the Hawaiian's(back hook free swiming) this year w/ similar hook up ratios, but no 'swim off's '.... i've notice trends and have my theories, but look forward to any additional input........
