Capt. Lee - I always enjoy your posts... this one especially. When I was a boy, staying with Pop in Oyster, VA for the summer was what got me through the year. The anticipation of days spent in and around the barrier islands clamming, crabbing and fishing were enough to drive any kid into a frenzy. I'm sure you can imagine (and may have once felt) my confusion when we walked to the boat as the sun peeked over the marsh grass... without a rod and reel. This day wasn't about catching, it was about learning, preparing; it was about doing your "homework"... and realizing the results later.

Over the years, a lot of memories were made with Pop, a lot of lessons were learned. Yet, this single day stands out. I look forward to reading of you and your Grandfather.
