    Pre-Bill Wahoo's

Looked at the weather Thursday and saw we had little to no chance to fish the weekend due to the sea's Bill was going to kick up so we set the plan in motion to sneek out Friday and try to see if we could have a repeat of last week. Game plan was to find the wahoo's and a sail for Mark.

Left out of the inlet to a stiff SW wind which was almost a head sea since we had decided to head south to the numbers we had left them chewing last weekend. Finally make the destinations and lines in around 7:30. Hadn't completed the spread when the WWB starts singing..few minutes later we added a small black fin tuna to the cooler. Reset and make a circle to see if any other takers were interested when the right long snaps, but does not come tight, Thom drops back and the fish comes tight. The fish comes up and we have part of the quest, Mark's sail! Unfortunately five minutes into it comes unbuttoned. We continue to work the area without success so we push off a little deeper.

Finally find some meat for the table when this slob comes off the planer.

Added one other nice hoo to the box and missed a few other fish. Overall a little slower than I would have predicted but still a great day on the water with friends.

A big thanks to BTH for tieing some witches up on short order. I called Brian Wednesday evening and he had them ready for me Thursday afternoon. Anyone looking for a well tied witch in any color I highly recommend him!

    Nice hoos...
That one is really long and skinny. You ever try dragging those smaller tunas for wahoo (or small dolphin, bonita etc?) I don't know if yall are plaqued with the cudas like we are in Florida.

Although it is hard to see it in the pictures, the bigger of the two fish is a citation fish and easily over fifty

Very nice work guys! That looks like a fine piece of water you found. Those sails should be around a while for your buddy.
