Thanks, I'm really looking for some local info on what the reaction is to the new Boeing 787 plant and what the local fishing is like, how far out to the gulf stream, bottom fishing, inshore fishing that kind of thing. Not to concerned about school systems or current housing market. Just in the thinking about it stage right now, employment there is a possibilty. I need more time on the water.

The reaction is ELECTRIC! SC is glad to have BOEING! Trying to draw more into the area now. You will love Charleston!

As far as fishing is concerned, the bottom fishing is some of the best on the eastern seaboard. Most is done within 40 miles. But the offshore bite will see Blue Marlin, White marlin, Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo. Its a run(50+ miles but its great fishing at certain times of the year). Not to mention the inshore fishing is awesome with many tidal creeks attracting DRum, trout, sheephead, spades and tarpon. And if youre a hunter, game is plentiful throughout the lowcountry. Southern Hospitality at its best.

Let me know if you have any specific questions, have some great friends down that way. Im two hours north in Myrtle Beach. Good Luck!

Contact the folks at Haddrell's Point Tackle (google them). They will clue you in to the area. They are very helpful and dedicated folks. The are also a couple good fishing sites dedicated to the area. I'll see if I can dig them up and post them for you.

    OK, try this: http://www.sportfishermen.com/board/****************************************/
