Poor house bound

Well, I spent the better part of today dealing with DMV on towing issues,they told me if my boat trailer was rated over 10,000 pounds I have to have a class A license.My trailer is rated 10,500,but my boat weighs 7000 loaded,I weighed it today and still I have to have classA license.I also found out Iam to wide,now I need a oversize permit.To get legal it will cost about 400.00.Then I go to the gas station to gas up,reg.gas 3.75 and disiel was 4.45.One thing about it I guess we will all go to the poor house together.Marty I dont mean to sound like Im whining on your site,but I just had to vent man.In 1776 we had a little thing called a revloution.

Thanks Marty,sounds like you know where Im coming from.Im going to start running out of Harkers next week as soon as I get all this towing stuff straight.I know there is some cobias and groupers that want to ride on the NO DOUBT.Capt.Lee showed me how to get videos and pictures on the site,so maybe I will get some to post.Tight Lines Bro.

ray jr. did you send off your oversize permit paperwork or did you take it somewhere. i printed the form off line just haven't filled it out yet waiting til I close on the new boat thursday to measure everything the form wants to know.

Lee roger on the wind.Bodie they faxed the forms to the fish house today,but they said if I mailed them it may be 2 weeks before Iget the permits.Sooo i am driving to Raleigh tommorow to get them,what a load of BS this is.P.S. I may do a little venting in Raleigh also.

I am pushing the issue on the "Short Bus" Ray. I am 106" on my guide posts. Truck regis say 5000 and trailer load with boat, motor minus gear which I am going to start putting in my truck when trailering with less than 1/2 tank takes me right to 3990 lbs. That is just under the combined 9000 which would push me to a wieghted tag.

I am waiting to see what the short session of the General Assembly will say about this issue. Should know very soon.

What I don't understand is you don't see this issue being pushed to the big RV's going down the road behind a truck with a gooseneck.
