    Please Say It Ain't So,

Look's like tropical depression #12 is making up, soon to be a Cat 2 storm in a couple days. Track looks very familar. Hope we don't have a season like we had a few years back, one storm after another. Don't think this part of the Country will stand it. Please swing off shore!!!!! Frank

We definitely don't need another one anytime soon. Floyd did a whole lot of damage because the ground was already saturated from Dennis... I almost hit a cow carcass just short of Fryingpan Tower... Not the good old days...

Ha - the water looked like coffee until we got to the stream that day - It was ugly.

I think the folks that own the Sandpiper restaurant found some of that "river beef" and served it on the menu... Yuck.

    Scattered Grass,

Thanks for putting that pic up. I took the same one myself. Yes sir alot of damage and still alot to be thankful for! I can tell you with 100% certainty, if you dad hadn't let me put my boat where she sit's, I would have been in a mess. Many thanks. Talked to him yesterday (I think????), sounds like your boat did good. Glad you didn't haul her out! Frank

    HotShot,

The trawler was in the boat yard immediately across the road from my boat. You just can't see it because of the angle. The trawler floated off of her blocks and came across the road, resting in front of my boat. The boats in the yard fell like a house of card's. The marina about 200 yards west of my boat no longer exists, many boats are stacked on each other. My wife and I took a rough count, about 30 boats. I'll be working at the yard tommorrow, the calls are starting to come in. Boats that were laying on their sides got loads of water in them and in the engines, gensets, trans, etc...... Frank
