But I had to do it. Finally after 8 months of looking for HG ammo at Wal-Mart, I found some. The guy said it had come in that afternoon, and it was all but gone. I took my 6 box limit, and then sent the wife in for hers.
I hate to do it. Its not cool that people go clean them out as soon as it gets there, but I haven't been able to shoot for months now, as I REFUSE to pay the "panic prices" that Gander/Dicks and local gun shops want. $295 for 1K of HG ammo... I can live with that! My lead slinger is hungry for .45 acp... now if only I can find some hollow points!

Jared....gotta start handloading....only way to go. I have quite a few rounds for any kind of fun. Going this Sunday for some plinking myself....kids and family.
JP77, those prices are steep... but at the local gun shops, those are about on par or lower than what we see right now. Its a terrible time for gun owners in America. Its all driven on 1. speculation that Obama is going after our guns and 2. speculation the left will make ammo have "registration requirements."
Jim, I actually have all the reloading stuff... but I am now living in a condo, and there isn't enough room to do the reloading. All my reloading stuff is on lend to a buddy who is using it right now. I will have to wait until I have more room to do the reloading.
