Thanks very helpful
ok. i just watched his 2 planer videos again for the umteenth time. have a question about his bridle length.
29-31 inches is the bridle length he uses.
does the bridle need to be shorter for a #16 than for a #24?
just answered my own question as far as the sizes of the planers go. same length so I guess the bridle could work for both planers.

No. 24 Deep Diving Downrigger Planer

THE SAME LENGTH WILL WORK FOR BOTH BUT DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND BE PREPARED TO REPLACE THE BRIDLE AFTER EACH DAY OF FISHING.......
THAT IS - THE LOOP ON EACH END OF THE BRIDDLE TAKES A LOT OF SHOCK FROM THE TRIP - AND IT MAY AND WILL GET CHAFFED (SPELLING????)
I REPLACE THEM AFTER EVERY DAY - SOME MAY SAY THAT YOU DO NOT NEED TO - BUT TO ME THAT TAKING TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH OF A GAMBLE - IT TAKES LESS THAN 4 MINUTES TO MAKE A BRIDLE.....
AND I WILL TELL YOU THE TRUTH NOT ONLY AFTER EACH FISH YOU CATCH, BUT EACH AND EVERY TIME YOU RESET IT CHECK THE ENTIRE BRIDLE FOR AND STRESS MARKS OR NICKS OR WHATEVER............
.....AND TRUST ME EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE IT BRAND NEW OR JUST RIGHT,..... OR HOWEVER YOU THINK ITS RIGHT.......BE PREPARED ALWAYS - BECAUSE THE UNEXPLAINABLE MAY HAPPEN - TRUST ME IT HAPPENED TO US ONE DAY, LET ME CORRECT THAT I HAVE SEEN IT HAPPEN IN TWO DIFFERENT SITUATIONS AND THEY WERE BOTH .......TOURNAMENT FISHING OF COURSE.........SO BE PREPARED!!
