PLANER ROD "BRIDLE" VIDEO PREMIERE

IMO a downrigger would be much more of a hastle.

You would have a hard time tripping the plainer if you could trip it.

You would also have to clear it out of the water and move it out of your way.

The plainer rod allows you to use the plainer in line. No extra stuff to clear out of the way. Crank the plainer up, unsnap it and go back to cranking the fish up.

Very simple and easy to use set up.

Its an AWESOME rig.

WOW, I was just looking for a simple compare and contrast; your method vs what I was taught by a few commercial blue fin fisherman. Not implying one is better than another. Just looking for as many options as possible and yours has been duelly noted.

Is there a reason i cannot pull the videos up or is my computer just screwed up? i wanna give the planer rod a try but i am not quite sure on how the bridle is setup. Does anyone have a picture of what the bridle looks like? Thanks!

How do you trip the planer at the end of day or when you need to get it out of the way?

AS A USER OF BOTH DOWN RIGGERS AND PLANNER RODS, IT DOESNT EVEN COME CLOSE. THE PHRASE "DEATH FROM ABOVE" IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS, SINCE USING THE DFA WITH THIS BRIDLE SYSTEM THE RESULTS ARE UN-FREAKIN REAL, AS IN MY PREVIOUS POST, WE HAD A YOUNG LADY BOAT A 90 PLUS LB BFT IN LESS THAN 25 MINUTS. TO SAY THE LEAST ITS THE NASTIEST WEAPON IN MY ARSENAL NOW. SO IF MY BOAT LEAVES THE DOCK MY "DFA" IS COMIN WITH ME...TRY IT ONCE YOU'LL SEE...BEST OF LUCK..... DAVE...
