    Pitch Bait set up

After reading Stripah's tip about pitch baits I got to thinking how they do not seem to get much press time here in BOX land. So with that, I want to know three things, what rod/reel/leader/hook set up, where is it placed for easy deployment, and do you rig one everyday reguardless of meat of bill fishing?

Mine is a TLD 25 on a soft tipped 6' stick with 100lb mono wind on leader crimped to an unweighted dink hook with a split billed bally. It is stored in a vertical clamp on rod holder on the leg of my hard top with the bally placed in a wet towel laying on the walk around section of the Grady. I try to have one ready every day just in case.

Come on lets hear it, what are you pitching to the dogs and whiteys?

Standard for us pitch and way back

Seven foot dink rod with an accurate 665, 65 pound braid with an 80 pound 25 foot fluoro wind on leader circle hook with a select hooski. The rod sits on the tower leg and the bait sits in ice brine container just for itself. Mate takes one or two steps and it's out. We most always have big meat way back so if we get a shopper and can't get a pitch in the correct zone or if the beast is too big for that setup we will work that rod (the WB) to get the bait in front or alongside of a beast if that's what we have shopping around. We always keep a couple sizes of meat in the spread

I'm sure there are many more ways this is just what we are doin at this tme

We would generally run with a TLD-30 on a lightweight sailfish rod, ~20' 80lb Flouro leader to a split billed hoo.
