Pirate's Cove Big Game Tournament Day 1 "Coverage"
While this will defintately not be an Admin quality tournament coverage, I will do my best to bring some pictures each night as well as updates each night on the Pirate's Cove Big Game Tournament. (I am here working and not fishing the tournament so I have to put in my booth time.)
In all, 76 boats entered the tournament today and from what I heard, 73 fished today. Total there were 96 releases---2 blue marlin, 60+ whites, and 30+ sails (don't remember specific numbers). Last year's winning captain, Mike King is leading the tournament on the Stream Weaver with 7 white marlin releases today. Congratulations to Mike on yet another awesome day of fishing----definitely been on fire recently! Second place is Sea Toy with 6 whites and a sail. "Maggie" won the first release of the day with a sail at 8:36. I was busy all evening and didn't get any weights on meatfish but will try to get that tomorrow.
I can see it's dangerous for you, but if the government trusts me, maybe you could.

Wow...thanks for the pictures/report Squid. That picture of the boats all lined up with the sun coming off the water is going to make one sweet screen saver!

Let me know if you want the high resolution picture---I'll be glad to send it to you---just PM me an e-mail address to send it to. I was very pleased with the way that particular picture turned out!

I was thinking the same thing. I'll be changing mine today. I really like the two shots with all the flags flying too. Thanks for the photos Squid.
