    PIN OR NO PIN

After this past weekend i had a person in or party ask me why some rigs had pin and some did not...........I told him that when the bite is hot you can re rig the bait that just got a nice fish back out in about 30 sec.Now i just spent the last 1hr tieing 30 pin and 45 no pin for this weekend hopefully ill need them all.

If you rig that many baits ahead of time why do you need to rerrig during the bite?

BERT WHAT IF YOU GET 125 BITES? SHOULD HE NOT RE-RIG THEN?

75 PRE-RIGGED BAITS AIN'T SQUAT DURING MHC MAHI SEASON

ON ANOTHER NOTE CHARLIE....TRY USING A POST ON ALL YOUR RIGS...ONCE YOU HAVE RIGGED THEM CLIP THE POST OFF ALMOST FLUSH TO THE BAITS HEAD...THE POST STILL DOES IT'S JOB

The only reason I would go pinless is to target Whites or Sails. I don't see the advantage of a rig with no pin otherwise. Are you able to rig faster without the pin?

You can never have too many backup rigs and never rig enough IMO during this time of year. I use all pins tooth proofed and with monel. The only ones that do not get pins are on my dink rigs. So I agree with EMTAE on this one all the way.

For the meatfish rigs, if you do happen to run out of baited rigs and on a hot bite and have to re rig the existing, I just cut the monel off and start using rubber bands. With a bite that hot the bait ain't going to be on the rig long enough to matter. Same with my wire rigs in the late winter early spring and in the late summer through the fall for wahoo.

I would love to tote a rigging monkey with me and put him in the corner to do nothing but re rig with monel all day instead of having to divert to rubber bands. But in reality that aint going to happen.

    Thumbs up post #9 wire

I pin all mine wire or mono with toothproof loop
Everything gets rigged with copper wire and a 3/8 oz egg
During the mahi run usually 6packs of meds and 12 select on the wire islanders are prerigged for a days fishing
I can't stand running out of bait or ice not acceptable
