BEAUTIFUL BIG CHAWDAWGY AND A COUPLE OF NICE ONES AND SOME TOONERS AND DORITOS TO BOOT! GREAT DAY. TOO BAD ABOUT THE OUTFIT, THOUGH.

WAHOO CAN RAISE SOME SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS HELL IN THE 'PIT (I HAD A NEW MATE WHO DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING GET THREE FINGERS CHOPPED OFF AND HIS WEDDING BAND BIT IN HALF TOO ONCE. RUINED A WIDE OPEN WAHOO BITE, HE DID. DANG!)

THAT'S WHY MANY YEARS AGO WE STARTED JUST SLIDING THEM IN THE TRANSOM DOOR USING JUST THE LEADER, NO GAFFS. IT'S AMAZING! THEY JUST LAY THERE LIKE THEY'RE TAKING A NAP OR SOMETHING, JUST AS CALM AS CAN BE. THEN WE JUST GRAB THEM JUST IN FRONT OF THE TAIL AND THE LEADER AND DEPOSIT THEM IN THE BOX. WE TAKE THE LURE OUT LATER.

I REALIZE THAT YOU DON'T (MAY NOT?) HAVE A TRANSOM DOOR, BUT ALL THOSE WHO DO SHOULD GIVE THIS A TRY. NO BLOOD AND SLIME ALL OVER THE 'PIT, NOBODY GETS BIT, NO TACKLE GOES FLYING OVER THE SIDE OR WHATEVER. IT REALLY WORKS LIKE A CHARM, EVERY TIME. THE ONLY FISH THAT WE EVER GAFF ARE SNAGGED ONES AND WE DIDN'T GET MANY OF THOSE WITH THE SINGLE HOOKS.

'COURSE, IF YOU LIKE ALL THAT WILD "SHIT IN THE 'PIT", A SURE WAY OF HAVING PLENTY OF IT IS TO STICK A GAFF IN A FANGBANGER...AND IF IT'S A BIG MAMOO, OH MAN! BEEN THERE, DONE THAT! WE HAD FIFTY AND SIXTY POUNDERS RAISE INCREDIBLE 'PIT HELL, BUT WE "SLID" FISH UP TO 138# WITHOUT A WHIMPER OF PROTEST. VERY NICE.

AND AGAIN, THAT'S SURE A NICE, BIG WAHOO AND THOSE OTHER ONES AIN'T TOO BAD EITHER! CONGRATS AND THANKS FOR THE PICTURES AND THE STORY.

HERE ARE A COUPLE OF WOULD BE COCKPIT CRASHERS JUST LAYING THERE, WAITING FOR A RIDE TO THE BOX. NO BLOOD, NO SLIME, NO WRECKING STUFF, NO BITING ANYBODY, NO FINGERS TO PICK UP AND PUT IN A BAGGY, JUST CHILLIN' OUT. I LIKE IT LIKE THAT.

Looks like you guys had a hell of a day out on the water. Thanks for the report and pics. That is one nice looking hooskie. Looking forward to some more reports.

Cool tip Capt. Fred, I will have to remeber that one if I ever get to hunt these slobs one day.
