He just might Marty. Hard to imagine he would be happy without his cognac and smokes on the stand. And... you'd NEVER get him to splash "Doe in heat" on himself!Originally Posted by WAHOONBOX

I'm sorry to hear about Capt. Yannis. He's undoubtably left his impression on you and those you've touched through the stories told of days growing up fishing in Greece under the tutledge of a great angler, waterman and uncle. I know everyone has enjoyed the adventures that you've shared with us. You're admiration of Capt. Yannis and family is so evident. I know you and you're family miss him and will always remember and cherish the times you had together. Hope to see you soon my freind!
Biscuit-
I have just caught up to this thread... and I am at a loss for words. The stories seem so other worldly. So pure. Upon a little reflection, I don't know what is more amazing to me- the life of Yannis, or your ability to take everyone on this website and plant them directly in the boat. Seeing the sights, smelling the smells, and experiencing the emotions. You have been blessed with some incredible experiences, and even more blessed with your ability to tell the story and immortalize your friend. Thank you for sharing this with all of us, and I look forward to reading more stories, should there be any.

Thanks for bumping this one!

Man what a great read Bisquato. My dad just recently passed and he was Greek. Born in Sparta came to this country and made it with a 5th grade education. My hats of to you and yours. Thanks again. OOOOOPA
This has been a fantastic read and I am very thankful to you for sharing. I am truly sorry for your loss. What a beutiful maritime history your family has!
Thankyou again,

Good to see this classic again. Striper on, I am sorry to read about your dad. My parents are both Spartans. Fairly small city with a lot of history.
Great post! So being Greek, I bet you can figure out my boat / screen name then. (Don't tell anyone)
