Phuket Thailand Nov 7th

Just the guys out to enjoy the day. We were fishing the Racha Islands 15 - 20 Mi South of Phuket. The morning was spent looking for small tuna to make baits with. The afternoon we landed this nice Wahoo. Here are a few pics from around the Islands Racha Yai and Racha Noi. Enjoy

Thanks for the report! Just wondering - did you sight any freejumpers in the afternoon? Were there many boats fishing and any sails or other gamefish caught?

Patudo, We did not see any sails this day but another boat that was on the drop off had a great catch Black Marlin, Sailfish and wahoo. Maybe next time we will head out there.

That's a good result - for what it's worth, I reckon the next week or so may well see some pretty good fishing in that area as we go over the full moon. The only negative about that area is the time it takes to get there and back on the typical Phuket fishing sampan.

I fished around Racha Yai and Racha Noi in October of 2003. Man I love Phuket! Fished with an British Ex Pat. (john something)on a 40 something Riveria. Was a great time. SOme of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen was at the south end of Phuket watching a couple long tail motor by.

Thanks for refreshing the memories! I need to go back!
