You clean up real well there JP. I was supposed to have gone fishig in Nicaragua back in January but could go but in looking at the pics my friends took it was a very poor place. They fished out of the river from the lake that goes towards the Gulf of Mexico.

That river is called Rio San Juan, Thats a jungle. I have been there a couple of times. Huge tarpoons and snooks( If you know how to catch them).
Its is a really poor country and its really sad that this govermet is doing really bad things to the people.

I didn’t catch any; it was a really short fishing trip.
Its sad what’s happening in Honduras, It was really scary to go threw, lots of army in road stops.

    Saludos JP77

    JP,

They fished wown river from the lake at a lodge on stilts next to the river. Said fishing was really slow only 3 tarpon in 4 days and no snook. We fished the rio Colorado in Costa rica where Rio San Juan comes out and slayed the snook in the river and jigged tarpon about a half mile off the beach.

Great pictures. I had heard that things were getting better in Nica and the tourist $ were helping out. I know it is still a third world country and very poor but I think it is a democracy now and things are slowly improving?

The democratically elected president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, sexually abused his step daughter for years and was never charged with anything.

Look it up if you don't believe me.
