    PALEESE, NOT THE GUILLOTINE AGAIN!

HOW MANY OF YOU OUT THERE HAVE RIPPED THE HIDE FROM YOUR SHINS...OR YOUR CALF MUSCLE......AS I HAVE OVER THE YEARS ON THE BROKEN PARTS OF A ICE COOLER....?????

YEAH YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! THE GUILLOTINE SLICING EDGES THAT ARE LEFT ON COOLERS ONCE ALL THE HINGES AND LATCHES ARE BROKEN OFF!!

AND WHY MUST THEY BREAK? WHY DO COOLER MANUFACTURES CONTINUE TO BUILD THESE BLOOD LETTING LATCHES THAT BREAK OVER TIME FROM WHATEVER REASON? A COOLER SHOULD LAST FOREVER INCLUDING THE STUPID LATCHES....

AND THE FRIGGING LATCHES SHOULD BE RECESSED IN LIKE A YELLOWINS PECS!!! FLUSH!!! MAKE THE THINGS FLUSH ........

I HATE TO CALL NAMES BUT TODAY.....I'M CALLING OUT IGLOO..........I AM SUING YOU IGLOO MANUFACTURING PUBLICALLY ...CLASS ACTION STYLE...I'M SUING YOU FOR 10K......I HAVE, FOR THE LAST TIME, CUT THE SHIT OUT OF MY LEGS BY RUBBING AGAINST THESE JAGGED EDGES LEFT ON THE IGLOO COOLER AFTER THE LATCH HAS BROKEN OFF.......OH YES ...YOU WILL SAY TO REPLACE THE LATCH....WELL SCREW THE LATCH! YOU MAKE THE LATCH BETTER I SAY!!! IT'S CALLED RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT!

THE 10 K DOLLAR AMOUNT IS SMALL....SO I EXPECT QUICK COMPENSATION.....AN EARLY SETTLEMENT WILL FIND ME DONATING THE 10K TO THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF NC......SO SETTLE UP!!! BEFORE I BLEED TO DEATH

EITHER CHANGE THE WAY YOU BUILD MARINE COOLERS OR GET OUT OF THE GAME

MAYBE I SHOULD LOOK AT THE ICEY-TEKS........I SEE NO BLOOD-LETTING DEVICES ON THESE FREEZERS!!! ........HMMMM ....ICEY-TEK....WHERE ART THOU?

COURT IS IN SESSION..........WHO ELSE IS BLEEDING?

LMAO....you are so correct on that one BOX. When they break and they do break quite often, they catch your leg every time you walk by it seems.

You must be bored today. LOL

    BOX,
I am defiantely with you on this one. I want part of this action. I have cut my self NUMEROUS times on the cheap hinges that ALWAYS break off. I have got to have some battle scars from these things. I could have already bought an ICEY-TEK for the price I have paid for replacing all the hinges.

    You are damn correct Box.

I have a white igloo i keep on my pier cart, and the hinges are around knee level. I have sliced and cut my knee, and under knee area a few times.

I do not at this time carry a igloo on my cart anymore. There is an icey tek in the size that fits in my cart perfectly at a local shop, gonna have to save up some bones and get one. one that keeps very cold for long periods, and doesnt CUT THE LIVING HELL OUT of my knees!

Marty, lets have an Igloo roast

Believe it or not, I complained to igloo a few years back about the very same thing. I was surprised to find them quite receptive. They sent me back a prototype replacement for the standard tissue paper latchs that they normally use…. I’ll be truthful. The initial install was a bit complicated and I botched it up. You can see where I went wrong here. The bulk of the new latch wouldn’t let the lid close fully.

After a few minutes on the line with their tech support guys, we got the issue ironed out and a proper install completed.

I must say the new prototype latch was a bit of a let down. It’s a good thing it was a prototype. It did not function very well as a latch… Had some trouble holding the lid down in rough seas… However, I think it is safe to say that it did function much better in other aspects. No longer is the broken latch a calf ripper. The new latch is so sharp is slices instead of rips. If you moving about the cockpit at a good clip, you can’t even feel it as the latch parts you flesh to the bone. A very welcome improvement over the raged cutting action of the old plastic models.

    Thumbs up

I have not cut myself yet. But you raise a great point box. Looking at the broken latch( wife ran over the kooler ) it sure could ginsu a calf muzzle easil on that sharp edge.. So how much are replacement hinges (SS).....priceless......after seeing your ripped calf muzzle
