Outta Range Fishing - MHC 6/12

The plan was to get a bit of meat and then spend the day hunting bills. We broke the inlet about 0445 - figured with the forecast and Lady Big Rock there would be a mad rush.

Beautiful ride out - not a drop of spray and not a boat in sight
We found a bit of weed and some flyers in about 140 ft so we dropped the spread - managed to pick up a slinger, but decided to push on off a bit - by that time the fleet had shown up - came on a nice rip with lots of scattered grass, dolphins and flyers.

The dolphins would stay with us the rest of the day - and were a great show on a slow day.

we managed a few more slinger bites - not really big enough to take the baits, so we pushed off a bit more and away from the fleet - we managed a few more bites and picked up a nice gaffer - but the bill bite never came.

The ride in was even better than the ride out and a beautiful day on the water.
