Oregon inlet

Fished the point wednesday with a friend on a center console, put them out with the fleet in 50fts all wind ons with light leaders. The tunas were airing out everywhere real good showing of fish had 15 tuna bites and caught 4 pulled the hooks on the rest and caught a few mahi. The fleet pulled a spread till around 11:00 then brought the riggers up and put out the kites with the yummies talked with one captain and he had 17 bites that afternoon he said he was using some top secret leader material that he was in no way waiting to share the secret, does anyone now what they are using. Taking the Razorback up there next weekend if we can get a window of good weather.

Yep Just Got a Spool,

Comes in 25 or 50 yard spool's, it's called "pullin your leg"! The fish ain't gettin smarter. You oughta see the stuff we used when "greenstickin'". Long line clip's and huge snap's hangin attacheb to 200 to 400 leader's. It smoke's em' when. Fish re-act, they don't think. Or at least they didn't used too. Frank

We were there Thursday, saw them kite fishing but the bite was slower than the day before. The fish we did hook werent to finicky from what I saw. We used wind ons. Most our bites came green or pink daisey chains. But not the normal daisey chains, these were small boone style squids made into chains. I also noticed that very few boats fished the WWWWB down the middle. Most were up close and all but one of our bites came really close in. It was amazing watching 10 boats within 50 yars of each other turnin on those fish. They would rise up and we could see the flashes underneath then lines would go off right and left on several boats. Those captains are real good at keeping lines from crossing on each other!

You guys need to head north the Tuna bite has been much better north of the 650 line. A few scattered Tunas and dolphin with the occasional bill fish further south. We did well with the bigger YFTs further north last weekend. Water temp we fished was 74.5...Mark
