Oregon Inlet 4-25-09

Just a short report for everyone.
We left the dock at 5:30 am making way to the OI inlet under breezy Southerly wind conditions. Ran the beach down to Diamond shoals tower and put lines in at the 280. We worked around the 280 for a hour or so with no luck then started a little north and found a little warmer water and a trace of salad. We picked at the Dolphin with no tuna bites all day.... ....Had a quad hookup on the dolphin and only managed one out of the four!!! What was that all about!! Still trying to figure that one out!!.... .... The hot color for the dolphin was a Chartreuse,Pink,and green witch with a Chartreuse head. All hitting the shorts and flat lines.Ended the day with six in the box.

No guys!! No video this time!! We were in prospecting mode on this trip and I didn't fire up the camera on Saturday!! It will be fired up from here on out.I know I know should have it fired up every trip.....Mark

Ya I know!! I normally have the camera going,,,We were trying to figure out whether to run further south. We heard there were a lot of boats south. We opted to pick away on the little piece of turf we had. The dang current was ripping at around 3.5 to 4 knts where we were thus no tuna bites, we made almost zero headway south. Spent most of the day on the wheel.............Mark
