My take is Learn how to use a camera Dumbass. I didn't look at the bagged oranges so I failed in a complete case study because I really didn't care that much but it was intersting.

But more important is this question. If am going going to takes Marty's advice and Boxcott American made orange products and I have an urge for a screwdriver on the plane ride to Costa Rica next week should I

Same S#5t happens with coffee.
Brazil is the biggest producer, if they have a huge production, prices comes down( im talking as a producer) so im f$cked, what we find out was that by harvesting really good quality coffee the stock market cant affect you.
Thanks god good quality is better than volume, thats why some time you can grab the bull from the horns, and ask a fair price.
I Just want to create a different point of view( sorry box)
My cost of production of a 100poud bag of coffee is about $95.00 and the stock market is fluctuating around $135, so I earn around $40, less taxes.
If you roast 100 pounds of coffee you will loose around 20% of the weigth so you will have 80 pounds of roasted coffee, multiply that by 50 cups per pound and you will get 4000. multiply that by the price of each cup you pay in starbucks( there are lots of small roasters that pay really fair prices for really good quality coffee) menus the cost of roasting, that wont be more than a dollar per pound, and you will know why they have a tons of caffeterias.
