Opening Day 2011 - Briar Creek

BeagleMan and I decided to go to the club and sit this evening since we had seen such good sign there. A good many club members also had the same idea as there was a nice little crowd. I wanted to sit the ground blind that I usually sit, the one the copperhead got into with me last year. BeagleMan chose to sit his primary stand. The evening proved to be uneventful for me, but BeagleMan had seven to come out on him. Two of the club members also had deer come out on them. There were no deer killed this day.

On the way home we did however get a nice rattler.

RatMan had to stay home, and she was not too happy.

Lets see we have copperheads, cottonmouths, rattlers but no coral snake yet. With all the snakes you have down there beaglewoman I guess I would not be safe wearing flip flops.

    Ratman?

Your fishin' buddy in the last pic, what breed is he? Ive got a foofoo breed(jackrussel/chi) that has the same facial markings.

I usually wear crocs except when I got to drive the dogs.

RatMan is a Rat terrier. She was a gift from my boss five years ago. She is the best little dog we have ever had. Perfect companion in my eyes. Loves to go fishing and she goes hunting with us too, but not when we sit in the stand. Jack Russell is very close to a rat terrier, the ears are a little different and legs usually a little shorter. (I am looking for a small male to breed to her if anyone has one. )
