SFC Members - This Father/Kid Tourney is what it's really all about. My dad who taught me how to fish passed too early in life and my son has not been born yet.... So to honor both, I will be sponsoring TEAM 12 for the 1st Annual SFC Father/Kid Extravaganza. I have been so blessed and I just hope this can work out.

Sharpen your keyboards/writing skills and use this thread to tell us the story of someone you know who loves to fish, would really enjoy this outing, and deserves to be Team 12. You may nominate yourself and your father/kid or you may nominate a father/kid team you know. Also, if you know a fishing kid who deserves this but doesn't have a fishing dad, let us know his story, too. If the kid wins, I know someone who'll gladly stand in as his mate/gaffman.

Nominations will remain open until Midnight February 9th. The winner will be decided by a small committee of SFC regulars and announced on this board on Monday February 12th.

So get busy guys and think about someone you know who would be great for Team 12. Maybe someone from your church or work, maybe a kid in your scout troop, or maybe you and your boy. If you feel the need to keep your nomination private - please PM TriAngler or Squidnation.

Let the nominations begin - I just feel in my heart that this event is going to build special memories and maybe change lives. Thanks for your help in finding the right fishermen - and GO TEAM 12!

NOTE: Team 12 will be entitled to have their entry fee covered. All other expenses for travel, attendance, etc. will be the responsibility of the winner.
