One crappy week!!
By far since last Monday until this morning, I can't remember having so many #$@$% days in a row. Last Monday started our annual MSHA inspection at work and boy did we get a nick picker for a inspector. I have managed to fish after work each evening which has resulted in a big fat goose egg for results. I've done more paper work in the last week than should be legally allowed. Been short handed every day on my crew, what else could go wrong, well...... Electricity 40 calls last night and says we need to take one of his boys fishn today, great I 'm off and I need a get a way we'll go chase some spanish. But before leaving work last night the wife calls and is in a panic. She tells me theres something burning in the house but she can't find the fire, oh ^%$#!!!! are you sure, she had just painted a bedroom the day before, no she says it smells like rubber burning. I tell her to run over to KillnTime's house and ask him to check it out before we jump the gun. While they are checking I get the Hooptie in the wind, hold together ol girl, 265,000miles on the motor, shes a shimmin and rattlin all the way home.
Next call I get is from O3, man I can't find anything wrong...... where is that smoke comming from?, OH @#$%%! Lisa calls 911 and tells dispatch we got a fire they can't find. O3 killed the power to the house just in case. Luckily the area VFD had just started their monthly meeting and got to the house in a snap. The ole Hooptie is in warp speed and about to come apart when my mom calls and said the fireman had found the source and not to worry. I get home to find the house wide open, fans ventilating the house and every one kicked back. Something with the AC air handler in side had carpped out electrically and the VFD had killed power again to the AC breaker. We were very lucky the VFD's quick action sucked all the smoke out and we can't smell a trace of smoke today!
This was the beginning of a long hot night. Many thanks to the Arapahoe VFD for the super fast response, and O3 for helping Lisa, appreciate it brother, E40 thanks for being on stand by for electrical assistance. After the VFD cleared out my step dad helped me get into the electrical side of the air handler to find the problem. Couldn't find anything cooked until I pulled the squirrel cage fan, and the motor was cooked. Well we'll put up the windows and break out the fans. We finally got in bed around 1am and sweated our butts off, I think I got 2 hours sleep.
Got up at 7am to get to town and find a replacement motor and get it in before the temp got up. Secured a new motor for $85 and hit E40's house to get some modification to the wiring done. Wife calls, it's 85deg. and climbing hurry up! reassembled the fan and installed the unit 88deg, 90 deg.... Turn on the juice and we have AC again!!!!! It has run most of the afternoon but we are back at a nice 74deg this evening, thank GOD.
I look back now a realize how much worse this could have been, we could have lost everything including our beloved Choc Lab, Ellie the Belly and the the cat Bentlee. Thanks to alot of folks we didn't. We didn't get to go fishin and I've got to go back to work in the morning, man what am I doin Wrong!!!!

Stop staring at my Avatar.
Stick it out!
Hey look at it this way. Yes you had some really $%^%$% days but good times and bent rods are coming your way. Sometimes you have to have days like this to remind you to be very thankful for what you have! My aunt and uncle lost everything in a tornado and now they are the most greatful people I know because they don't take life and their things for granted anymore.
Good luck,
Jeremy

I had a frog short out the capacitor in my AC about two months ago. Spent all day with Baywolf out on a boat, after fishing I rushed home to see how it was, and see if the AC man had come.
He had not been there yet.... and the termometer was pegged at 99. IT ONLY GOES UP TO 99
Luckily he got there at 9:30 that night after a few calls and begging. Got me going and I got a decent nights sleep, which was good because I had another trip the next day.
