    David,

Thanks for the heads up and I'm delighted to hear that you folks are still in the saddle. You make one great planer.

Many condolences on the passing of your dad. He was a good man and is missed by many of us old timers.

    Buenas Suerte, Amigo.

    David,

I'd sure love to spend some Cabo time with you, but my fishing days there and those of living in the place that I love are over. Breaks my heart, but I'm an old, sick guy nowadays, so I have to "fish" within the memories and experiences of those thousands of days down there. But hey, that's more days and memories and experiences than I ever had to remotest right to expect in life.

Plus, I learned long ago that in many ways, it is even more exciting and rewarding to help people catch fish, either through my books or our lures, than it is to catch fish myself. And so I continue to be a lucky man when our customers send us reports and pictures of their successes on the water. It is a near impossible thing to say how exciting and rewarding that is. I remain a lucky man, even with having my oceans taken from me. And I still get to "fish" with lots of good people.

So thanks for the thought, David, but I won't be able to take you out on my beloved Sea of Cortez or Pacific for a chance at a dance with a blue girl. It would have been great to share a ride with you.
