OLD ORCHARD LIGHTHOUSE

Giantfan or anyone familiar with the Old Orchard Lighthouse. Can any of you tell me if the rock shoal is still visible next to the lighthouse or is it only during low tides? The two reference pics below show two different scenes. One pic shows rocks and the other barely any?????????????

It's a tide thing....

Top is low tide and bottom is high tide.

They do show at all tides just more at low.

This picture is at flood tide. I know it's not a good shot of the light house but I think it may help a bit.

Oh.... by the way, did you guys know that Old Orchard light is for sale.

I read it in soundings (I think) a few months ago. There are a bunch of them all over the country for sale. They go up for public auction and the winner has to maintain the light.

That would make a great clubhouse.... drop straight down for blackfish and porgies and cast out a bit for some slob bass.

I really need to hit the lottery.
