Talking Okatoma river sunfish and shiner spectacular...

Today was a day to just sit back and remember why I love fishing. The biggest fish landed was less that 5 inches long and it was a blast. Watching Hudson fish for shiners with a gold hook and cheese with 6lb was like reliving the days of my childhood.

Catching damsel flies at my grandparents condo on the lake in order to drop them between the spaces in the deckboards into the little crevices in the rip rap to catch a rock bass that got pulled through the floor and tossed into a 1 man inflatable rowboat with a few inches of water in it and in I went after a catfish big enough to tow me around

Well today we hiked down to the river and found a secluded little sandbar. It was a great day of shiner fishing with a lone sunfish thrown in for variety It's refreshing to watch kids fishing. It makes you remember what it's like to just fish for the sheer joy of fishing. Whether it's the creek in your old neighborhood or the Pacific ocean, it's all the same

Good stuff there Brother! I could sit for hours on the docks catching Pinfish with my boys!

I have a little guy named Hudson too.

    Thumbs up Excellent!

Great job Capt. You have brought so much life long memories to these kids more than you will ever know! Both of my Grandfathers took me fishing as a kid and I thank them ever chance I get for giving me those life long lessons I cherish so much now that I have a son and now a daughter of my own to teach!

    Thanks again,
    Jeremy
