OK, How Am I Supposed To FeeL About This?,

is a good term. What I see happening is instead of us truely being in the same cup of soup, I'm seeing a harder line being drawn between us and them (economically). "We" are the provider's, "they" are the recipient's. How can that keep going on without firm resentment? I think we all pretty much feel the same when it come's to helping those that truely need it. But at what point is it enough, helping someone is generally a short term thing (till you can take care of yourself). I agree that change start's at home, the authority's should have no say in how you handle you household discipline (I'm not speaking about abuse of course). But when it comes to an across the board change in our entitlement program's, unfortunately the Gov't started them and it's gonna have to be the Gov't that end's it. It won't be easy, but I don't see any other way. Frank

If you feed a stray cat a bowl of warm milk that cat will likely return for another. The cat won't stop coming back until one of two things happen. You run out of milk or you stop feeding the cat. Either way the cat is eventually going to have to find another way to get its milk. Our system is so focused on supplying those in need that it has forgotten were the supplies come from. Yes, there is going to be resentment and yes, some will resort to illegal activity. But most people, I may be giving to much credit here, I think want to be self sufficient and respectable. Those who know right from wrong will be just fine and those who don't would be the ones to cause societal problems anyway. So, its simple stop the hand outs. Start those who need on a path to self sufficiency i.e. work+effort =reward. 90% can do something. And those who truly can't should have to show real proof. But this will never happen because it is a solution and that would put to many social service workers out of a job. Come to think of it how could a person even work for social services knowing that a good portion of their pay is aiding the people they are working to help? They have to know the true nature of a lot of these people, it’s their jobs. If someone told me to get up at 6am be at my desk by 7:30am work 8 hours with 90% morally misguided individuals, then come payday try and pay my bill after paying my taxes, which a good part will go to federal aid programs, I would say no thank you and find another line of work. I wouldn't be able to sit and say nothing to those who I know are taking food off my plate and do not deserve it. Just think as a social service worker you need a 4 year, min$30,000 college degree to become legally literate, so you can tell someone to get off their A$% and find a job. Oh! Let me stop here I don't want to offend anyone

There are a few on here that I respect their opinion's, hard to believe but true. Before I start getting called a bigot or a racist, that's not the case. Anyone that "know's" me, know's better. I regard a man for the man he is, not what color his skin is. That said, here goes;
This morning on CNN (my son had it on in his bedroom, while dressing for work. I don't watch CNN, Fox or the other's. I don't like "spin") and it caught my eye. The headline and picture's were of "Chao's in Atlanta over Federal Housing". There were 30,000 people (their number's) gathered together getting "paperwork" for Federal Housing. It was pretty much a mob scene, people grabbing the paperwork, alot getting ripped up while someone else tried to pry it away, pushing shoving. It looked like a rush for food after a disaster. Well here's where I'm gonna sound like a racist. The common denominator was everyone I saw was Black, maybe it was the camera angle, the way the photographer wanted it to look. I don't know, but that's what I saw. How can I be expected to keep my cool here, seriously?
Everyone is complaining the "illegal's" this and that, but at least they (the vast majority that I see) are working. What I see is more and more folk's wanting something for nothing. I know "time's are tight" you don't have to explain that to me. Can all of these folk's be out of work? I mean I didn't see a bunch of malnurished people here. I got boney finger's because they're alway's working. All I see is more and more money (not to mention the "new" tax law's that are fixin to come out) leaving my account, going to prop other's up that don't or won't work. I don't care who you are, that's not right.
I am 100% all for helping those that can't help themselve's, but it's wrong for a man not to work (if able) in my eye's. I can only speak of where I live here, but the "project's" they're building now are way better than I could ever afford (sign me up!!!). They are Town House's, row house's, little neihborhood's. They've got a bunch of single row house's here called "Haceinda Height's", yep you got it they have a Mexican name for a reason.
Where does it end????? I'm not into all this "revolution" talk, quite frankly I don't this this citizenship is up for it, past talk. But this "cow" is tired and running dry. How can this possibly keep going on. If everyone is afraid to say what is right and wrong (regardless of who's feeling's get hurt), well this Country's done for. I've never had a hand out, don't want one (there's alway's string's attached), I have worked for everything I sit on.
Ok, fire away, tell me what kind of jerk I am. Please and I'm asking this seriously, don't "sling" race around. This isn't about race, this is about some expectence that I "owe you something". I don't, where did all this come from??? Frank

Also the politicians know that everincreasing roles on the dole guarntee votes from those recieving.

when the working guys needs help, they look at u and do nothing. i work day and night to pay for me, wife and kid to have anything we need. last yrs was hit by a black girl 18yrs old while she was a the phone and went thr a red light, hit my truck with my 2yr girl in it. thank god the kid was fine by i have 6 back dis bad now, in and out of doc's with no feeling in arms. in never ask for help in my life but when i did they all look at me like i had 3heads. in have a roof and fishing charter buss. so when i see them pay with food stamps and then go into there suv and drive off i feel like running some one over.

If you get a chance read the book or get the book on tape "Atlas Shrugged". It is a great story written in the 50's that will tell you where this will end and how politicians like we have now will take us there. It isn't pretty but it comes from people offering something for nothing and a willing population to put their hand out blindly ignoring the consequences. More importantly it is enabled by people like us if we fail to speak out. So DAMN IT get out there and speak up! Show up at the Tea Party rallies, or 9/12 march on Washington. It is not racism to be a capitalist, supply and demand loving, personal accountability driven, mediocrity hating, Constitution holding AMERICAN.
