Offshore 1st Time Va Beach Advice Welcome

    Ok
Next Thurs driving my boat from South River MD to Lynnehaven Va Beach.
Fri & Sat going off shore for first time in my boat.
Sun drivin back up the bay home
Boat is a ’03 GW Marlin 30’ twin 225 four stroke.
Been out on charters before going to try it on my own.
The goal is to catch tuna.
    All advice is appreciated.
I heard not much luck on tuna now …there..
    ahhhhh....
the trouble is i already have hotel and slip reserved in VA
The guys goin with me are out of Albu. New Mex
    I’ve got a full boat.
So we had to plan this out some months ago.
some times you're the windshield........sometimes ...the bug
yes i posted on other boards too
oh it'll be a long weekend of boating i think reguardless.
all I know about offshore is what I’ve read and
    what I learned in a “canyon runner”seminar.
    Plus “tips” HERE!!
I’ve had a little trouble even finding charts
“omnimap.com” didn’t really cut it. That reminds me
to check the southern range of my chartplotter.
Oh and I seen a Dr. jim video.
    I suspect I’ll be learning a lot
At that “learn by doing college”.
Not my first choice but we’ll see.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    T

Wow, might want to see if you can find someone from the Tidewater area that wants to fish with you for FREE in exchange for some valuable info.
