Its been a quiet day today on here. just a girl trying to make things a little livelier. just trying to add some humor since there havent been any recent fishing posts on here. i thought mix it up was for things such as these.

yeah,,they are the best things to tell if you have a tide. If you are catchin those nasty, ugly SOB's then you aint got no tide Man I hate those suckers. I poked myself GOOD one time. swelled up like a bad bee sting. hurt like hell. No I dont mess with those things. grab a rag and get em off!!!

I remember my fish encounter with a toadfish. I was at the docks crabbing when i was a young boy. I was with my grandmother...miss ya grammy. We pulled up the crab trap and there was ugly looking brown SOB inside. So i put it in a bucket with water. Now my first mistake was picking it up, second was putting my finger in its mouth for no apparent reason. Now i have a healthy respect for the toadfish and it's jaw strength as well. Ahh the stupid things we do as a child lol.

DON"T GET THE SLIME IN YOUR EYE!!!!!! Made that mistake once and was F'uped for three days. blurry vision, and mild burning.

I always refer to them as "Mother - in - Law fish"

Ahhhhhhhhh makes sense!

That is certainly a fat one in the picture. Tell the groupers I am coming to see them soon. If we catch a toadfish promise me I can use it for live bait.
