    Ode to Slip and 'Biscuit

Thanks to Slip and Bicuit I have been converted from a "Spearfishermen" to a "Hook and Line" fishermen. (We'll not quite but close). Hogchoker and I loaded the boat up today with fishing and diving gear to go hunt some inshore Gags. We ended up 14 miles off the beach and never made it in the water with our dive gear. We got lucky and put a limit of Gags in the boat quickly. Choice bait today was live "greenies" (cigar minnows, boston macks, whatever they're called). We threw live pinfish and tomtates but they weren't interested.
We'll save the next trip out for spearfishing or when they have lockjaw.

Just think that you will not have to dive that cold water this winter to get your fresh fish!

I went out of Jacksonville FL yesterday, and we nailed a limit of snapper and 3 large gags (12-18 pounds) by 11am. Love the bottom rig you have there. What kind/pound braid you using?
