I just got back from some time in the Outer Banks. What is the deal with the giant sailboat parked on the ramp in Avon?

There was a thread on here a while back about it. Some snowbird went below to make a sandwich, with no land in sight, and came back up and was parked on the beach.

I'm not a OBX native but I remember about an article of someone going to fix a sandwich below and next thing he knew he was grounded on shore. The article said it was the second time on this trip, wherever he was going that he got grounded. It showed pics and the story. Sorry that I don't know where I had seen it. Not even sure this would be the same blowboat! Hopefully someone will give the real scoop.

A sndwich on a blowboat off the outer banks????? What did he make a 12' hoagie for a group of 50?? Holy shit man I don't believe it??? I bring boats past the outer banks and try to stay off at least 10 miles and I'm usually running 20 knots min!
