Why kill the guys post?? Don't want to be in the discussion, don't click in the post. Plain and simple. Go to the Big Game forum for fishing info and discussion. This is the kind of thing that makes people not want to post. Period.

Hindsight say that maybe it sould have been placed in the mix it up forum.....

    Nonetheless......

Seems the 2 "knots" that are so keen on lamblasting Obama's cabinet (and AG) nominees are more interested in the same ole Obama bashing rather than knowing the facts or reporting accurate and complete information. Richardson has been out of the picture for 2 weeks now and Holder was appointed to the bench by non other than Ronald Regan. Holder also has served as U.S. Attorney and Deputy attorney General---- sleazy, attorney, I think not. There are many positions that Holder has taken that should concern most here on SFC, that the knot heads apparantly are not aware of. Makes you wonder where they get their information from.

Knowing that he had a part of the last minute pardons of terrorists, drug dealers, and a scumbag who traded with Saddam is enough reason for me to question his morality and ability to challenge the President's improper moves.

Like I said, it's gonna get ugly.

Honestly Glenn, that's my attitude regardless of who's in there or what party they represent. Just so has it that Obama and his admin is the subject herewithin.....

On another heartburn note - take the pardon thing for example. It's unjustifiable to give any president the right or power to pardon some white or blue collar criminal AFTER he's been subjected to and sentenced per our judicial system. What message does that send to the judge making the ruling and handing down the sentence? I know what it tells me. Nothing is "really" what it supposed to be. Let's make rules as we go and make sure they benefit those with power and or money.

Just sit back and watch how mr. "I forgot about my taxes year after year" is handled. Won't surprise me a bit if he's accepted to run the treasury. I will, however, be surprised if he isn't. Because another blind eye will be looking at nothing.

That's not true, it is a necessary tool given to the President by the constitution.

The founding fathers intended them to be used to pardon those who committed a crime that at the time may have been justified but albeit illegal. Our justice system isn't perfect.

So there is very little actual regulation on what can be pardoned or how the power is used.

Look into Clintons pardons, yet another reason he wasn't the "great" President many consider him.

Then again, a lot of people really don't give two shits.

IMO pardoning for political expediency was not the intended use of the power, but I guess you could argue the merits of any pardon if your audience was dumb enough.

    D-

I understand the mechanics of pardons. However, I see deeper into them and other things/situations. Maybe I analyze too many things too often.

    Hope all is well.

All of this just points to how important it is that we get involved and educate ourselves on what is going on in this country. Our government has become an overreaching group of total incompetence and we're dealing with the fallout.

Cannot agree more. We'll be dealing with it for years to come. Monetarily and otherwise...

But it's politics that affects us fisherman as well. Don't you know that it's the politicians who propose bans, quotas, limits on comm. fisheries as well as recreational fisheries. And these fu#ks don't know the first thing about what would be best for us or our fisheries 99% of the time. I've been around now long enough to see that the government and THEIR ideas just don't work. Not short term or long term for the most part so that is why WE are talking politics. Atleast Pres. Bush knew a striper from a stripper.
    Tight lines.
